Link Building Nightmare

Writen by Darren Dunner

Link building is one of the best ways to get more performance from your web site. No matter how many times the search engines changes, this does not.

Some of the most talented people on the web will spend 8 hours a day on this and get little results.

There are many programs on the net you can use to gather potential links, request links from other members of paid link site, etc. The biggest problem with these is that you still spend hours and hours filtering through links, requesting trades from members and much more.

Here are a few things you can do to help in this painful process. Go to yahoo.com. Type in the search box: site:yourdomain.com and hit enter. This will tell you how many pages are indexed into yahoo. You can do this on your site or a potential link trade site.

Then in yahoo type: links:yourdomain.com and see how many link backs a site has.

Compare this information to your site and determine if this is a compatible site or not.

NOTE: you can do this on google and several other search engines.

Also, on the links pages of a site that you want to trade on, make sure that there links pages are indexed into the search engines. Make sure they are SEO friendly URL's and even check the page rank on them.

Hope this helps in your long search for Link Building. We are currenlty research link building sites and hope to have some articles soon on them.
